    Description

    Here are 2 sets of Bean-Cobb handcuffs with just one key. The one key works both sets however. I read where these handcuffs are called Bean-Cobb type but are not marked. The only marking on one set is, " Pat. May 2, 1899 '. See photo 2. The other set has no markings but is exactly liked the marked set. These came out of a local auction and the auctioneer said they were consigned by someone who's grandfather owned them and had been a constable in the southern part of West Virginia. They both work as intended and will only stay locked when the button by the keyhole is pushed-in. This prevented them from being locked when the constable had need to use them and apply them to a suspect. They open with the key but lock by pressing the little button. Still function fine. There is some wear to the finish but they are mostly in very good shape. Please see ALL enlarged photos for best idea of condition of the item as these are a part of the description.
