This Antique Chinese Wash Stand is circa early of 19th century. The fine carvings on this Wash Stand exemplifies the refined skills of the most talented craftsmen of Ming Qing dynasty. Traditional Chinese auspicious design decorate the top panels of the stand. The middle panel of the stand is ornately carved with Chinese calligraphy of "double happiness" surrounded with 'scroll" design. The stand legs are crafted with "lotus" on tips of each leg. The bar below the middle panel is crafted as "Ring Holder". All the carvings on this wash stand are three dimensional. The wash stand is handcrafted and structured with wooden pegs and tenon structure, which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. Circa early of 19th century. Original patina and wear. Made from Elm wood with beautiful wood grain, the wash stand is in excellent condition.
