This shining silverplated spoon features a complex, multi-component image of Panama City's Vasco Nunex de
Balboa Monumnent* in silhouette with intricately engraved details. "PANAMA CITY" is in raised block letters within a arced scroll beneath the imagery.
The spoon's handle is engraved with sleek, symmetrical and elegant details. The bowl of the spoon is elongated "tear drop" shape - typically known as a jelly spoon. The back of the stem is marked with the Hallmark "B"; "MADE IN HOLLAND"; and "E.P.N.S." This piece is in exceptionally great condition and freshly polished -ready to display, use and admire.

Balboa first visited Panama in 1513. The statue was sculpted by Miguel Blan and Mariano Benlliure and donated by King Alphonso XIII of Spain. Panamanian president Balisario Porras inaugerated the statue in 1924.

EXCELLENT. All original and fully intact. There are no dings, dents, pitting or scratches. The edge around the spoon's bowl is smooth except for a tiny bit of roughness at the left of the tip. Freshly polished!
